What you’ll do

This finance leader role is responsible for strategic and portfolio management aspects for the Cevec Legal Entity within Cytiva. The Finance Manager for this portfolio is a business partner to the Cevec CEO as well as working closely with Commercial, Product, Supply Chain, and R&D leadership teams to ensure day-to-day and strategic business decisions are made with adequate understanding of the impact on our financial performance.

As a portfolio finance leader within this organisation, this role includes responsibility to deliver insightful business analytics that enables decision-making and improves BTG’s overall performance.

The role will also serve as a close partnership with Controllership & the finance management team. It is a critical role to ensuring financial reporting is aligned with our accounting policy and is reported in compliance with local & US statutory requirements.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with the Cevec CEO in all regular financial requirements and analytics to drive growth and profitability for the portfolio. These activities vary depending on business requirements.
  • Analyse financials with the goal of generating insights on key business drivers and initiating countermeasures if Cevec deviates from its targets.
  • Maintain a culture of control & compliance with regards to financial controls & cost discipline. Work collaboratively with the rest of the finance team to ensure timely and compliant reporting.
  • Own and report forecasted financials for Cevec with cross functional collaboration
  • Guide Product Leaders and their teams in everyday aspects of the business through financial advice as required
  • Lead pricing, margin, and market share analytics. Proactively review anticipated cost changes and work on mitigations for headwinds
  • Support portfolio optimization initiatives, including partnerships, licensing collaborations, and product discontinuations, and new product introductions
  • Critically assess capital requirements and innovation projects to ensure rigor in the business case. Track progress on agreed initiatives through relevant KPIs that enable the business to proactively implement remediation measures for any deviations from agreed performance metrics.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of 5 years of financial work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in both German and English
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Leadership experience: experience with balancing execution across multiple projects/deliverables
  • Solid PC and strong Excel skills
  • Strong influencing skills across business functions; work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving compliant reporting
  • Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values
  • Strong understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
